About the Workshops
The Mono Basin Photographics Workshop Program is like no other. We don’t offer workshops with catchy titles that were born of market studies. We don’t offer Kodak or Epson sponsored “Have Fun With Your Camera” outings. Our classes put the work back in workshops (although we do kick up our heels now and then).
It’s not easy to sell workshops that require you to work hard. We’re competing against other programs that seem to offer more fun. These days, when everyone’s time is so precious, that can be a tough choice. We appeal to a certain kind of clientele — those who enjoy the work, and recognize the potential in it. Craft is not supposed to be easy — if it was, anyone could do it.

Landscape-Mindscape: The White Mountains and Bristlecone Pines
Open to all photographers, this workshop provides a balanced mix of instruction, ample time for personal work, and freewheeling discussions around the campfire. All in one of the most spectacular landscapes in the West.
Advanced Photographic Craft at Crooked Creek
For those of you who’ve taken the prerequisite classes, this class will be both challenging and stimulating. A one hundred question exam will test your knowledge of photographic principles and indicate your strengths and weaknesses.
Crooked Creek Alumni Reunion
We're up to our 5th year! Eligible students return to Crooked Creek to concentrate on personal work, relax, have fun, and reconnect with friends and that incomparable landscape.
Crooked Creek Gathering
This is a special opportunity for both past and prospective students to enjoy a week in the White Mountains at a greatly reduced rate. Come mingle with like-minded folks and learn more about Crooked Creek and photographic craft.
